Macy Kwan

Macy Kwan is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD), a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician and the founder of Soul Fruitful. She is passionate about supporting individuals to achieve their health goals by providing high-quality health and nutrition counselling.

In recent years, Macy has developed interests in treating eating disorders, disordered eating, yoyo-dieting and body dysmorphia. Macy practices holistically by caring for your overall well-being including your physical health, relationship with foodbody image, lifestyle, and food preferences to design a care plan that you feel confident to implement. Macy provides nutrition advice based on scientific evidence, which helps you to distinguish the massive health info flowing on the internet and to clear your questions about nutrition.

Macy has diverse interests and knowledge in food and nutrition based on her wide exposure to food cultures in the cities she lived in, including Hong Kong, Wyoming (USA), Minnesota (USA), Canberra and Brisbane. That gives an advantage to her to tailor a care plan that fits your food culture. She is competent in three languages including English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

Before establishing Soul Fruitful Dietetics, Macy worked at the Chinese University of Hong Kong for nutritional studies for three years. She was involved in a wide range of research including elderly health, pregnancy health, and paediatric nutrition. She also conducted individual nutrition counselling at the university and was interviewed by local TV broadcast media to deliver nutrition knowledge to the public.

Krysten Siu

Krysten is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and a Credentialed Diabetes Educator (CDE). She
is interested in empowering people to build better relationship with food and assisting her clients in

becoming more knowledgeable about their health conditions.

As an APD, she has experience in providing dietary intervention on a variety of topics, including:

  • Healthy eating

  • Diabetes (type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes)

  • Other chronic diseases management, such as cardiovascular diseases, gout, GORD

  • Weight management

  • Malnutrition

  • Healthy pregnancy

  • General child health


She also provides self-management education for people living with diabetes and their
families/carers as a CDE, such as:

  • Providing education on diabetes knowledge and updates on diabetes information and

technologies

  • Providing information and helping people to the most suitable glucose monitoring device

  • Assisting and educating people on diabetes medication and insulin injection

  • Empower people on diabetes self-management


The nutrition and dietetics information that Krysten delivers to her patients is evidence-based and is
backed by science. Krysten is good at providing easy to understand information to her patients, with
practical day-to-day applications to explain complex nutrition-related knowledge.


Having been born and raised in Hong Kong before coming to Australia to study when she was 15
years old, Krysten is familiar with both Chinese and Western diets. Being exceptionally experienced
with patients of multicultural backgrounds, including Middle Eastern and Mediterranean, Krysten
provides culturally appropriate diet advances and meal plans for her patients, who have different
medical requirements.


Patients find Krysten a very loving and caring dietitian who can provide them with practical and
realistic plans to achieve their targets.


Krysten can speak English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Angie Chan

Angie is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD). Angie’s aspiration to work as a dietitian grew from observing the need for increased health promotion and working in different workplaces. These experiences drive her passion for providing individualised care that is flexible and responsive to your health goals, based on your unique preferences. 

 

Angie attained her Master of Dietetic Studies and Bachelor of Health Sciences (Nutrition Major) from the University of Queensland. Her areas of interest are chronic disease management (diabetes & cardiovascular disease), weight management, malnutrition and women’s health. Angie has experience in providing in-service training on malnutrition screening and leading gestational diabetes education groups in hospitals.

 

She has experience working in various clinical settings, including hospital, private practice, community, food service and rehabilitation facility. Angie can speak English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
